ALGA CRIN Ltda., Historical review
Alga Crin Ltda. is a company that designs, produces and commercializes personal care, well-being and beauty products.
Mrs. Gloria Cárdenas de Cañón discovered the possibility of taking advantage on the therapeutic benefits of horsehair by means of its artisan weave and, after an experimental stage, she founded the company on September of 1988 with the name of Belle Crin Ltda. Alan Chevron, a french citizen living in Colombia at the time, also joined the company.
Between 1988 and 1991 the company enjoyed of great dynamism and fast growth.
It managed to gain international clients, especially in France and some also in the United States. It participated in national and international fairs in which it attracted industrialists and distributors of neighboring countries. During this period, the company also entered the main supply chains of Colombia, which remain commercial partners of the company.
In 1991, when developing an ample reductive and modeling seaweed-based cosmetic line, the company changed its trade name by Alga Crin Ltda.
Today Alga Crin Ltda. constantly develops new designs made of different natural fibers, in order to fulfill the needs of its clients. Alga Crin’s products also are on the markets of the United States, Venezuela, France and Germany.
In 2007, ALGA CRIN Ltda., in its permanent search of improvement, initiated the implementation process of ISO 9001:2000 Norm, with the aim of increasing the satisfaction level of customer’s needs by fortifying its leadership in the market and generating new job opportunities. |
